When the Philadelphia Eagles last faced the New York Giants on December 22nd this past season, the Eagles managed a 24-19 narrow victory. Fast forward to week three of this season and these two teams no longer appear to be in parity with one another. In fact, they seem to be headed in completely different directions, with the Giants playing like one of the worst teams in the league, and the Eagles looking to be among the best.
End of an era?

As much as Jerry Reese doesn’t want to believe it, his offensive line is hindering the Giants’ scoring capabilities. In their Monday night loss to the Lions, the Giants’ offensive line crisis looked to be at an all-time high, as the Lions sacked Manning a total of five times during that game. If the talented Eagles defensive line continues to bring that level of pressure, the Giants likely will struggle yet again.
While the Giants may be leading the series between the two teams at 86-82, the Eagles have the advantage, coming into this game having won four of the past five meetings, and the fact that the Eagles are playing very good.
Giants: 10, Eagles: 24
Considering these teams’ matchup history, and the Giants’ offensive line woes, I see the Eagles pulling out the win in this one. Regardless, this game looks like it’s going to be a good one.
